Becoming We: From One to Many

​

My paintings reimagine Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus as a collective rather than solitary emergence. Figures rise from the sea, carried by wind and tide, embodying both fragility and resilience. Their journey is one of migration and the search for belonging. They drift to our island shore, where an abundant landscape softens their solitude. Strangers become community as the act of gathering becomes a form of resilience, transformation and hope.
